The Cricket Pen 

     Cricket most likely began in the 1600s.  The earliest reference is a brief mention of the game in an English court case in 1598. The game began for children, but adults gradually took interest and the game spread from England to Europe.  The original paddles were wooden and the best are made of English Willow.
