The Pen of the Cross

     The actual wood of the cross is unknown.  There are many relics which purport to be from the cross.  Scientific study of these fragments reveals that the cross was likely made of pine.  
  There is an interesting tale that the cross was actually made of dogwood.  In biblical times, dogwood grew straight and true but once it was used for the cross, God decided not to allow it be used in this way again. From that time on, the dogwood has grown crooked and gnarly.  There are other woods speculated to be the wood of the cross, including olive wood, cedar and oak.  Although it is unclear, we make our pens from pine, a tree very common in the region at the time of the cruxcifiction.  Unfortunately, it is a very difficult wood to obtain and we have only very little to work with.  Our wood comes directly from Israel.
