The Soccer Pen  

     No one knows when the game of soccer began.  There is evidence that early Greeks played games kicking a ball and ancient Chinese soldiers trained, learning coordination by kicking a ball. However, when England adopted the game, it was raised to its current popularity as a sport.
     There really is very little wood associated with soccer, however the original goal posts were made of oak.
